I have a ECU that gives an eight byte seed
I have 3 pairs of seed and keys
SEED: A2 AF 8E 55 C9 0D CC 7B / KEY: 7F 5D 4A 62 86 C7 B4 C9
SEED: 9E A7 6B CD B0 B3 DE 05 / KEY: DE FB C3 D7 32 26 42 9E
SEED: 1A 5E 0F 7C B2 88 9D BA / KEY: F2 FE 5A AA 72 02 CD 9F
I also heard that its easier to get the algorithm from the binary but i don't have an experience in disassembly.
I can post the binary if it would help
If someone can figure this algorithm out please tell me how you did it since I'm not interested in finding the algorithm i want to learn how to find it

Hi I'm new to the forum but have done a fair bit of CAN & OBDII hacking over the years.

I have a Honda 2011 CRZ ECU and am wanting to decode the seed/key challenge.

Here are some captured valid challenge and response byte pairs.

Any ideas on how it is working and generating the response?
