help with choosing a canbus to usb interface

Post by carlos1984 » 2017 Dec 27 12:11

HI guys,

I have been looking for a usb to can bus interface to send a radio turn on command for a Mygig radio from a 2008 dodge charger, it has a low speed can bus but I cannot seem to find any interfaces that specifies that they will work with a low speed bus.I am doing some testing on a radio that I replaced so I cannot experiment with it connected to the car.

I have found some low cost options on ebay and aliexpress. These are the ones I have been looking at, if someone can help me choose one I would greatly appreciate it.

I have also looked into arduino and a canbus shield but from what I have read and seen on youtube, the canbus shield only supports the high speed canbus, also it seems more complicated to setup.
