Re: PICAXE+ELM327
Checking in. I have still been working on this here and there. But things took a slightly different path. My picaxe idea has grown into a picaxe+android idea, and I'm slowly developing an app and hardware mix to let me do cool stuff. The other day, I managed to remote start my jeep from my cellphone...

Re: Arduino CAN Shield Help
Ok, so pretty much the same thing as my Jeep then. Sorry I can't help with Arduino...I'm a picaxe guy. But My best guess would be 125k/11bit ID. On an ELM327/clone that would be Protocol B (AT SPB/n).

Re: Newbie Question (don't flame!): Door lock/unlock & ignit
So I dug out an old 25 pin printer cable, cut one end off, and made a breakout that taps in to all the busses, and has plenty of room for other connections, like to the window switches, or whatever else i want on it. I'm gonna try and install an 8 channel relay driver board, with the intent of pluggi...

Re: Arduino CAN Shield Help
Well, from taking a brief look around but didnt find much on the protocols for your car, so I will tell you what I know about mine. My 14 wrangler has multiple busses. the Can C bus (The big one) runs at 500 with 29bit id. But the Interior Bus (what MY stereo is on) is a 125 but with 11 bit id. So m...

v2.1 ELM clones
So I was browsing eBay with the intention of buying a handful of ELM327 clones, and I saw that they now seem to have version 2.1 out. Well, of course it's a copy of the ELM chip, but the ones I bought in the past worked well enough, so i gave it a shot and ordered 4 of them, to see what I would get....

Re: Newbie Question (don't flame!): Door lock/unlock & ignit
Just my personal opinion, but it might make more sense to connect to the other busses separately, instead of using the OBD connector. IF there is a gateway, I have no idea how to get around it, nor have I heard anyone else. But if you DO manage to get through it, you're finally able to talk to the c...

Re: Data Link Connector bus switching?
Last night I managed to the a PICAXE chip to send commands to the ELM327 clone over bluetooth. THe picaxe can connect to the module, and can send it all the usual startup configuration commands. I also worked out a trick to convert ASCII test into hex characters that can be used for 295 messages, or...

Re: LIN bus interception
Yea, I haven't done much here yet. Paycheck and sanity come before hacking. But now that winter is settling in, I've found myself with more desk time, and Im trying to get back to work on this idea. I'll try to keep in touch.

PICAXE+ELM327
Since my bus switch grew into a different project, I figure this is the best place for it. The idea is to take a picaxe 20x2, and a HC-05 bluetooth adapter, and pair it with one of those cheap-o-matic OBD bluetooth gizmos that are all over ebay for under $10. For starters, the ELM327 is too slow, an...

Re: Data Link Connector bus switching?
So I ordered some HC-05 bluetooth modules from ebay, and after 2 months, they never showed up. the seller HKPowerstore fed me a line and said they were on their way, but wouldn't give me any tracking info. I got a refund and ordered from somewhere else, and they just showed up in the mail today. So ...

Re: LIN bus interception
I see what you're saying. Hopefully, if this works, it will stop them from turning right back off. I've tired flooding, too. Crappy at best. My goal here is to kind of make everything on the linbus act just like your switch does. Now does anyone happen to know the linbus speed and protocol for a 201...

Re: Data Link Connector bus switching?
No dice. Turns out that, while the 327 answers modem commands, it won't transfer data from the bus. No big deal. Threw it on the trash. My new ones came in from FleaBay though. And in true dumbass form, I opened it up to do thesame thing that broke the last one. But this time I didn't break anything...

Re: Disable the TPMS in JEEP JK 2010
Oh, and "just because" is probably an acceptable answer in these parts. I'm gearing up for a project to interface a picaxe chip with the interior and lin busses. Arduino is kind of Greek to me. Is that what you're going to use?

Re: Disable the TPMS in JEEP JK 2010
Ok, I did a piss-poor job of explaining my diode idea. let me see if I can do it on mine, and if it works I will show you what I mean.
